Superstitious Humans and Animals**
Humans have been practicing superstitions for millennia, but are we alone in our irrational beliefs? Some say that animals can be superstitious too, but it’s hard to tell for sure. One study showed that pigeons can develop their own unique superstitious behaviors. But even if animals do have superstitions, it doesn’t mean they believe in them the same way we do. After all, a pigeon who avoids a black cat isn’t doing it because they think it’s bad luck, they’re just doing it because they’ve been conditioned to. So while it’s fun to think about animals having superstitions, it’s important to remember that they’re just animals, and they don’t really understand what we’re talking about when we talk about luck.
